The morning of Lauren's wedding was surprisingly calm. In fact, it was calm enough that Andy decided he should annoy someone. And who better to annoy than the bride...? So Andy got out the video camera and started taping things around the house. He started with Carlee, who also seemed a little annoyed now that I think about it, then he moved downstairs to Lauren. Check out both videos. Is it just me or do you see a little attitude with the girls in the Coil household?

Blessing Day

This is one of my favorite pictures of Tessa, because you can see her dimple. Today is her big day. Her mom will dress her in a beautiful white gown and her dad will hold her in his arms and pronounce a blessing and name on her. It will be a wonderful moment for all 5 of the Ohio Coils...and I can't be there. The sadness of missing that moment and this special day is softened by the thought that her parents are doing exactly what they should be doing and I am so proud of them. I would love to see Carlee and Porter sit with their arms folded and listen to their dad's voice as he promises Tessa a beautiful life. He will tell her of her future, talk about being loved and loving and someday going to the temple to marry her sweetheart. Someday Tessa's husband will hold their baby in his arms and give the same blessing to their baby. The circle of the gospel is wonderful. It is like the North star, always there, never wavering, guiding us in our actions and thoughts. Tessa is being blessed today, but it won't end at "Amen". The blessings will always be hers to have as a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves her, parents who will protect her and a brother and sister to hold her hand along the way. I love you Tessa. Happy Blessing Day! Grandma

Happy Birthday to Cameron J. Lawson! He is beautiful...8 lbs. 1 oz. 21 inches, strawberry-blonde hair, fat cheeks and a perfect face. Danielle pushed twice and he slipped out. Looking at her pictures, you can't tell that D. just had a baby. She made it look easy. Jake is playing the part of the proud papa very well. Danielle has to beg him to let her hold Cameron. Jake just sits and stares at him.

Is this heaven? No, but an angel just came from there and he's safe in his daddy's arms.

Someones Graduation Video

Brook Haven

Seven years ago Matthew trained a new sealer in the Bountiful Temple. He was a Mission President in England and was recently called to be the President of the Preston, England Missionary Training Center. He and his wife leave in December for 2 years. Brother Terry Clegg is an amazing man and he loves Matthew. Good men know a good man when they meet them. He knows Matthew is a good man, so he has invited us to use his cabin. Most of his children live out of state attending dental school and law school. He has one son still in Utah. His cabin is used about 1 out of 10 weekends. He gave Matthew a key and told us to enjoy it all we want. There is room for everyone, so come and enjoy it with us.

The Clegg Family Cabin is about 10 miles E. of Oakley. It is on the south face of the mountain overlooking a creek, surrounded by Quaking Aspen, Pine trees, moose, black bear, deer and various other wildlife. A mother black bear denned under the front deck last winter with her two cubs. It is an A-frame cabin with tongue and groove paneling inside. The main cabin has a bedroom, full bath, well-stocked kitchen, Coil size dining table, TV, cable, 3 leather couches, wood burning stove and large balcony. The second floor has an L-shaped loft with a single bed and table on it, plus room for 10 sleeping bags. There are two more bedrooms with full-size beds in each of them upstairs as well.

About 40 feet up the mountain from the back of the cabin is a mountain man style bunk house with 2 bunk beds with trundles, a table, TV and another floor area for 6 more people.

Also behind the cabin is a slipper slide, teeter-totter, swing set, play house, fire-pit (smore's anyone?) and horseshoe area.

The creek at the bottom of the mountain is perfect for 3 year olds to wade in and float on tubes. (Preston, Madison, Abbie, Porter, Luke, Carlee, Sammie, Emry, Tessa, Cameron and Baby girl, (what's her name Mike and Erin) don't forget your swimsuits) It is just a few more miles up the road to Smith and Morehouse Lake. Fly poles are welcome!

Is this heaven? No, but darn close and you don't have to die to get there. Come on family, we can use it all we want for the next 3 years, no charge. This will be a memory making experience for all of us. If we are careful with the cabin (no shoes inside), we will probably be able to use it for many, many years to come.

Pass the marshmallows...!
