Seminary countdown has begun. 3 days left of sleeping in till 6:30, staying up until 10:00, hanging with Matthew in the evenings, reading scriptures for the fun of it, being a ward drop-out with no responsibilities (except of course, visit teaching, which I happen to love, so that doesn't really count), not wearing pantyhose for weeks, not leaving the house before the sun is up, being able to sit on the front porch and watch the sun go down (without my lesson manual on my lap).
Are you feeling sorry for me? No need to, because,...
3 days left until I see scriptures opened up in a whole new way again, feeling the Lord blessing me by waking me 10 minutes before the alarm goes off at 4:47 a.m., feeling the love from my Matthew as he encourages me to hang in there, seeing the light in my student's faces at 6:15 every morning, because they WANT to be there, feeling the Spirit take over in my classroom, guiding my words and thoughts, knowing the Lord is on my side, so how can I fail, making friends with youth that will change me in a positive way for the rest of my life, wanting to give up and then feeling the Lord give me the boost I need with a hand written note from a student telling me I have made a difference, raising the bar in my actions and thoughts, having my heart touched by the testimonies of Viewmont's finest.
Yep, the way I see it, I am about the luckiest girl in the world. And I am going to be just fine!

I thought all of Utah was on release time seminary? I didn't know you were a seminary teacher. I bet the kids love you. Enjoy your last three days. I was actually thinking the same thing this morning when I slept in until 7:45. Only three more days and were back to 5am. Can't wait...I think.
This is what you get for being such an amazing teacher, they are never going to want you to leave Viewmont: ) I wish I were there to enjoy your last few "freedom" days with you. You are going to have a great year!!! I will be thinking of you!!
Yeah, we all knew you would be asked to do it again because you are so wonderful and knowledgable. I would do anything to be one of your students. Good luck, you will do wonderful.
How cool is that? I would love to be in your class. What a wonderful way to spend your time.
I bet you are the best seminary teacher and the kids love you!
I want to be the fly on the wall in your classroom! Better yet, I would love to be one of your students. But how lucky am I to be one of your kids?! Oh so lucky. I think back to the girl last year who we saw at Walmart. The girl who would give a lot to have a mother like you. Yep, I am one lucky girl. Mom, we all know you're the best that Viewmont Seminary has. You pour your whole heart and soul into teaching, and with that comes guidance from the spirit, the greatest companion you could ask for in a seminary class. I'm sure every single day your kids walk out saying things like WOW, DID YOU FEEL THAT?! I also find a lot of comfort knowing that when I have a hard day doing what I'm doing, I now can turn to you and know that you'll relate and you'll have answers. I love you!
